New Year's Eve

Hey, me again. I just feel like popping up every now and then but tonight I just wanted to end the year. I could write about my day but considering tomorrow is the first day of 2014 I won't bore you with my day.
New Year's Eve. The night you stay up until midnight watching the fireworks with friends and family. Some people make one or more new year resolutions for the new year. I do but never stick to them... If you haven't made one before, it's a great goal and a little bit of fun.
Hope the new year brings you joy and happiness. Thanks for a good year and I look forward to another one starting tomorrow.
Don't stay up to late or wake up too early in the morning. ;)

Enforcement

The mortal instruments series written by Cassandra Clare heard of it? You most likely have because of the movie that recently came out this year. Although, the first book called 'City of bones' was published in 2007. This is the series I'm currently reading at the moment. I started reading it about a month before the movie premiere. The only reason I knew about it was because I found the trailer for it and said it was based on a book series. The trailer looked amazing so I bought the book as soon as I could. I started reading it but I was having trouble getting into it. I got about half way and stopped reading. Months later I was hearing so many good things about the movie and got excited about it but I couldn't watch the movie if I'm half way through the book! So for Christmas, I asked for the other books in the series. The only reason why I did that was to force myself to read the rest of the first book and it worked! I'm pretty into it now and only have 2 more chapters to go then I can finally see the movie!

Sleep in!

So every Sunday, I go to church. I myslef isn't that much of a religious person. I'm kinda made to go and have been since the day I was born. Its not the greatest thing but it can be interesting at times. Listening to whats been said. Anyway, so the chapel I use is shared by another group of people and so we ave different session times. My session time was 9. So every Sunday morning I would get up around 8 or 7:30 and get ready which for me is too early for the weekend but here's the thing. Tody was the last day of the year meaning next week we swap session times with the other group. Guess what time the other session is? 1:00! Meaning I get to sleep in! Ah how I've missed it!

Part 2

Hey everyone! Ever had one of those late movie nights? Well, I just had one which is why I'm so late and I apologise.
I had an amazing time though! Me and the family watched The hobbit: The desolation of smaug in the cinema today and was brilliant! Sorry for those who aren't a fan but how can you not with an action packed adventurous movie like it! I won't spoil it for those who haven't watched it that wants to but you're in for a treat!

Home improvement

Another day of chores...usually not the best thing to do during your summer holiday but my parents have plans for he house especially in the lounge room where I ended doing a lot of work. It mostly included washing the ceiling and walks ready for the room to be painted. This was super annoying because we had to move things like the entertainment unit, piano and other super heavy objects to get to all parts of he wall.
For those on their summer holiday, you are relaxing and having a wonderful time not doing house work...

Boxing day

Today was the first day after Christmas. Boxing day. I'm not sure if thats an international thing or just Australian but that's what we call it. This day has absolutely nothing to for with boxing so I have no idea why bits called that. There's only one special thing about this day and that's the price. The price of what you may ask? Well, the price of everything! Boxing day is when every store has massive sales and all items are reduced. Stores were packed, record breaking que lines but totally worth your wait. I bought a number of things today and it was very fun indeed!

Merry Christmas

Today's the day you wake up and open your stockings. Say Merry Chrostnas to one another and exchange gifts. You have a bit breakfast, lunch or dinner, maybe even all of the above. You spend the day with family and friends. For me it's an Aussie Christmas so shorts, t-shirts, things and cricket. For those I the northern hemisphere it's a white Christmas. Snow falling, sitting by the fire and tugging up warmly. I dream of having a white Christmas, it just sounds beautiful and peaceful.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy your gifts and look forward to next years Christmas. (It's only 12 months away.) Enjoy your Boxing Day whether it be watching the cricket like me or shopping with those massive sales!

Who knows when it'll be me blogging again. Safe holidays all!

Christmas Eve

Hey all it's me again for today and tomorrow.

It's finally here, that time of the year again, Christmas! Well Christmas is actually tomorrow, tonight is just Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas. You have that big Christmas dinner and put up your Christmas stockings. You go to bed early so Santa doesn't see you and that's why you don't see him. If you say Santa doesn't exist, that is not true. Christmas spirit means believing. Doesn't have to be true to enjoy or believe.
Another thing tonight, it's that awesome friend of mines birthday. He's a great friend so at thank you and wish him a happy birthday and tomorrow a merry Christmas. ^_^

Mery Christmas to all, and to all, a good night!

Pumped

So everyone! In less than 2 hours it'll be my birthday! Yes, the day before Christmas. Many people say " Wow that's so cool!" And others say "Dude that sucks"Well me? It dies kinda suck. Sometimes I'd get birthday and Christmas gifts or they would be combined. With Christmas just round the corner my birthday is kinda just mesh but it's my 16th so I guess that counts for something right? Although it should still be a wonderful day anyway!
Happy birthday for those born on the 24th of December!

Memories

Ever have those small and sweet times where you just talk to a family member and remember past memories and share them. I just had one with y older sister and it was very nice. We've both been overseas and that was the main topic of our talk. We've both been to the USA and spent the time there with same people. After trading stories it turns out I had a much better trip than her. Winner!

If you can with someone, just chat with them. It's really a sweet thing.

Christmas Shopping

Hey Everyone, as you all know the one usually to write up the blog is on holiday and she has been put me in charge until she gets back.
So, once again for me, its that time of the year again. Christmas time. Just 5 days until the magical, happy time of giving and receiving, family and food! Lots of food but before that, it can be a little hectic. You have to set up a tree, maybe make plans to go somewhere but more importantly buy presents. This can either be a hard task or easy. In my case it is easy because in our family we don't have to guess what the other person likes, we just make a wishlist for everyone in the family to see and buy something on that list. Yes, this way, it may not be as fun opening your gift and see what you get but it's good and joyful. So today, we all went Christmas shopping. Having a biggish family though, it's not all done. I guess I'll just have to go back to mall and shop more!
I hope for all those also having Christmas coming up and buying gifts that your having a good time.

Car trip

Hey all, it's me! My overnight stay has wifi so I thought I'd do today's post.
I'm just past half way to my destination and still have another 7 hours to go on the road. Drove 9 hours today and sitting in a car that long makes you very stiff and sore. Going for a walk afterwards is a great way to stretch your legs. Sitting down can be nice as you may just want to relax but after being cramped in a car for so many hours you need to stretch.
Make sure you have something to in the car because otherwise you might die of boredom.

Enjoy my friend and his posts again. Have good holidays all.

Driving!

Hey Everyone! Yes, today it will be that "Awesome friend" today and boy do I have something to tell ya. It may or may not be exciting to you but it was kinda exciting to me. You see today, I went for my very first drive! Even though I've been on my learners for around 2-3 months it's only now that I've driven and it's actually not as bad as I thought it would be which is great! It may not have been a very long drive today but it was one none the less and I do hope to do it again very soon.
I hope those reading can understand my joy!

Packing

So I'm going away on a family holiday for a month. Today I spent the day packing my bag and cleaning my room. When you go away it's always nice to come back to a clean room. Packing can be fun but only if you make it fun. Mine wasn't very fun but that's because I go away to often and no longer have the happy feeling of getting excited while I pack and get things ready. I know all holidays aren't the same but they feel like it after a long time.

I won't be able to do many blog posts for the next month so that awesome friend of mine who does them for me will do them. Hope you enjoy his blog posts and I might surprise you if I can a few times.

Cherish the last moments

16th of  December, 2013

Today was my last chance to catch up with all my friends before I leave on holidays. I caught up with a close friend and it was happy but sad at the end when I had to say bye. I wasn't allowed to be sad so I thought of the happiness I'd have when I saw them again. It's always nice spending the last few days with friends, knowing it'll be the last time to catch up with them for a while.
If your close with someone, friend or family member and know you won't see them for a while its always nice to spend as much time as possible with them. Cherish it and it'll make you happy and forget about being sad. Wear a smile and think positively.

Better earlier than later

Christmas came early for me this year as I celebrated it tonight. I'll celebrate it again on Christmas Day but that will be with other family members. I'm going away for Christmas this year and so I don't miss out on the chance to spend it with half my family we had it early. I'd say it's better to have it early because then you still have one Christmas a year and for those who love presents they get them that little bit sooner. Having 2 Christmas's is what I always have but this time they're spread out and it's different. Is it the fact I'm growing up or things are just starting to change around me?

Concerts

Everybody loves music. The best kind of music would have to be live though. Seeing the band perform, singing along and jumping up and down. You can also take pictures and video recordings when you see a live performance whereas just listening to it you can't.
Tonight I went with my mum and her friends to see Jon Bon Jovi live in concert on his Australian tour Because We Can. It was amazing. The stadium was packed, everyone sang their hearts out (well I did) and everyone enjoyed the show. Two and a half hours of singing was a pretty great way to spend a Saturday night.
If you really like a band and they go on tour and you want to see them playing live, don't wait! If you need to travel do so! It's the best experience and the best way to enjoy music.

Lunch

Going out to lunch is always nice. I went to visit my mum today at work and she thought we should go to lunch. It wasn't like going out with family, it was more like having lunch with a friend. General conversation that didn't involve anything to do with family. It was a nice change up. (I don't get on too well will my mother so it was a plus.)
Lunch, brunch, dinner and afternoon tea are great times to catch up with people. Doesn't just have to be a special occasion, it can be anytime and with anyone.

Last performance

I did graduate last night but I was invited back to school - with a few others who graduated - to help perform in the school band for one last performance. It was an honor. Almost all of us have been in the band since the beginning of high school 4 years ago. We're referred to as the 'true believers' for sticking with band all the way through our high school years. The friends we've made in other years, saying goodbye to them was hard. I know it was for me. But the hardest part will be saying bye to the band and performing. That had to be our favourite part about high school, it was definitely mine. First band I've been a part of, it was awesome!

Graduation

We finally made it. Four long hard years of high school and now we've graduated. I congratulate all the classes of 2013 on their outstanding achievement! In another 2 years we'll graduate college and that will be the end of school for some. For others uni will mark the end of school. Hard work pays off.
I remember my year group 4 years ago, all small and unsure. 4 years on and this year we were the top and tonight marked the end of our high school years. We made friends we'll keep forever, met teachers who changed our lives and helped us to succeed.
For those who are going to the college I am next year, I will see you then. For those who are not I wish you all the best for your schooling years and future careers. That being said also goes for those who are attending the college I am.
All the best classes of 2013 and congratulations! You made it. Best of luck to you all and follow your dreams, set them high because you are capable of reaching a high goal.

Words

Everyday you use words and all words have meanings. There are big words and small words and both can be confusing. I don't understand many big words and prefer using smaller words. If words are said a certain way or used in a sentence that people can understand they are easy and simple to understand the meaning of. You could ask me the meaning of a word and I couldn't tell you but if you use the word in a sentence and then ask the meaning it's a lot easier to understand and explain the meaning.

Movie flashback

Movies these days have everything, even music to make the movie better. Go back many many years and the actors sang the song. They weren't movies they were musicals. In the middle of a scene actors broke into song then went back to acting the scene out.
The music in movies back then was and is much different to movies these days. In some ways they are better with people singing but in other cases it is better when there is none.
Which do you prefer?

Pre-holiday

So I haven't officially graduated but I've finished school. I am school holidays but as I haven't officially graduated I guess you could call it a pre-holiday. What to do? Just do what you'd normally do in the holidays I suppose. Hang with friends, go to the mall, chill at home or be bored. That's pretty much anyone does in the holidays.
I guess this is an extra holiday.

Recovery

After walking in heels for hours or dress shoes and wearing clothes that aren't all that comfortable, you really need a recovery day. A day to chill out, do nothing and put your feet up. You can catch up with friends, that's a great way to spend a free day.

Friday, 6 December 2013

Formal

Tonight might have been everyone's best night of high school. I'm not a party animal but when your whole year is dancing you could call it an out of control zoo! Everyone looked amazing. Dresses in every colour and the boys all suited up and looking hot and handsome. Who knew teenager could look so good! A three course meal and hours of dancing with photographers taking your picture it's a night no one will forget. There were tears and many sore feet. (High heels are pretty but they're also uncomfortable. You look at the dress shoes men wear, they are apparently not comfortable either.)
The teachers were all nice and dressed up.
Everyone looked great and it's a night for all to remember. You all looked stunning! What a beautiful year.

Last time

My last finishing school today and the last time I will ever walk home with my friends. Tuesday was the last day I had class with my friends and today was the last time to spend time with them. We haven't said any goodbyes yet, that is being saved for tomorrow and graduation.
Tomorrow is formal, the day you start talking when you start year seven, then don't talk about until year 10. It should be the best night of high school - the one you spend with the year group.

A day in the park

Today was a pretty good school day, no uniform and no school. My year spent the day down at the lake chilling out. Playing on the equipment, talking to friends or playing a game it was all worthwhile. The point of the day was to interact with everyone, spend some quality time with everyone for one last time. It wasn't like that. We stayed with our own friends. I moved between my friend groups and preferred other groups to my main one. It's nice to change up who you hang with, you become more social person.
Hanging out and chilling out is the best way to spend  the third last day with all the people you know. All the people who will be split up next year.

Last official day

Come the third day of Summer I finish my last official day of high school. We get our last reports, fill out our form so we can leave and say goodbye and thanks to our teachers. I still have three days but 2 are activities and the last is just an assembly. On the last day or last few days of school you do nothing. The teachers let you watch movies, play games, talk and if you're lucky they let you play on your phone.
You start saying bye to things you're going to miss about whatever school you're leaving. I know I said goodbye to hanging out and sitting with my friends. When you move to college people scatter, I won't be going to school with most of the friends I have made at high school, only a small handful.
Goodbyes are sad but you'll keep in touch. The sad tears can become happy ones.

On the second day of Summer...

It's the second of summer so still at the beginning but is the second last day of high school. You can feel the heat already so you definitely know summer has struck. This summer is the time we'll spend looking back on the year that's gone by and what's happened throughout the different seasons. Events, friends that have come and gone and this summer we'll also look forward towards the new year were we'll make new friends and start a new adventure.
There will be many more days of summer to come.

On the first day of Summer...

Welcome to Summer! Today it will be sunny and very hot. That's summer, hot weather. The time of the year where you go hang out at the pool or go down to the beach. For me it's cricket, lying on the couch with the air conditioner on. But as it's the first of December it's the day you put up your Christmas tree and start to get into the Christmas spirit. Don't forget those advent calendars, chocolates are yummy.
Remember hats and sunscreen so you don't get burnt because that is not a good way to spend the summer...

Christmas shopping

Saturday, 30 November 2013

In every weekend and in all your spare time you get at the moment you spend it thinking about Christmas. Christmas shopping is at the top of everyone's list at the moment. You need to get presents for friends, family and if you have a big heart you buy a present and put it under a giving tree for someone in another country, who doesn't get presents. Family shopping is what I did today and hours of it. I got everything I needed and had to help others. That's the meaning Christmas is bringing joy to people, family and friends and anyone and everyone!
If you have a spare $10 and have a big heart, get something for someone you don't know. It's the best feeling you'll ever get. ^_^

Final stretch

One week left. There is almost nothing to do at school. The final week will be the longest stretch out of all 4 years at high school. With nothing to do time goes by rather slowly. I've already run out of things to do...
The final stretch is the time where you look back on the years and remember the best times. Make the last week a blast, you'll only get that chance once. Enjoy the last week with your friends before you go your seperate ways.

Movie girls

If you stereotype a girl from a chick flick or any high school movie what do you see? Pretty girls, nice hair, makeup, nails done and some - nearly all - have some form of inappropriate clothing. To me it's not a great influence on girls in high school because that's really untrue. Some try to look like girls in movies or act like them because it's "cool". "Cool" actually isn't cool, in the movies it's pure evil. Makeup from movies is done well and these days is very overdone in high school... I mean really, it's just school?...
You can take things out of movies but personalities are one thing along with clothing choices and makeup ideas that should not be taken out of a chuck flick or high school based movie.

I don't mean to offend anyone in today's post and am sorry if it comes across like that or has offended you. Deepest apologies.

Mistakes

You learn from your mistakes in life, it's the only way you can learn and improve. You can also make mistakes bad habits and they never leave and you can't change them. I've made mistakes but I've now made the same mistake twice in a row now and am scared it'll become a habit... This mistake makes others hurt, me feel bad and anything beyond bad and sad... Others can say it's okay and things will be right and try to help you change but their words don't do much, sometimes they just feel like doubt and a lie.
When you make a mistake, realize where you went wrong and don't do it again. Sometimes if you make certain mistakes more than once people can get hurt. Ever heard of The boy who cried wolf? People won't believe you if you do it too many times, they'll just think you're lying.

Count down

The posts start again.

Any important event or just an event you're really excited or nervous about you start a count down. You may not realize at first but that's what you do. I did one for my birthday, going to China and now I'm doing one for how many days I've got left at high school and graduation and formal. I finish school next Friday, 10 days. It's the sort of event you're excited about but also sad about. The other two on my list, formal and graduation are sort that make you nervous but also excited.
What do you count down to? I know one everybody counts down to, Christmas! (That's in exactly a month.)

Apologies

Sorry there haven't been very many posts this week... I've had a busy week and will start blogging again tomorrow.

Friday, 22 November 2013

Now what?

Sorry there hasn't been a post the last 2 days...

So all my assessment is over for the year and I still have two weeks of school left. There is still school work to do but what's the point, it doesn't go towards anything. Some people might stay home but that's just as boring as school. Push through the last two weeks and then you've got free time until next years school year starts. Don't fall asleep in class though, you may be able to do that on like the very last day.

Tuesday, 19 November 2013

Finishing off

This is the last week of assessment for me at high school. Lots of studying for lots of tests. It is the last chance you have to push yourself to get that work you haven't handed in, in and pull yourself together for the best grade possible. Don't complain because once this week is over there is no more assessment, just two weeks of very little work. (Actually, 16 days tomorrow is how much time is left at high school.) You get two weeks of talking with friends and slacking off and the best part; no homework because the teachers have already given you your final grade.
The week only has three days left, it's already half finished or half started... Depends, is the glass half empty or half full?

Post stamps

I've had this package sitting in my room for some time and today I decided to open it. I was expecting pictures but along with those there were a whole lot of post stamps attached to the tops of letters and envelops that had been cut. They were from Australia and Britain. Everything inside belonged to my great grandmother, it was her collection of post stamps. The coolest thing about it though was it was all air mail! It brought back memories but that has to be the best collection I've ever heard of. The stamps back then looked really cool.

Limits

There is a limit on everything you do. The limit is yourself, no one or nothing else. Everyone has a set limit of how much they can take before their temper is at it's fullest. At times it feels lower than others and other times it feel higher but it's always the same' it just depends how much of that one thing you can tolerate. I can lose my temper pretty quickly but trying to keep the lid on and not blow your top is the hard part. Every person finds different things annoying but it may not just be something or someone that annoys them, it could be feelings inside of you reach the top and any emotion will set them off.
Try really hard to keep a cool around people who annoy you or things you find annoying, the cooler you are the more you will tolerate.

Lovely visit

It's nice catching up with people you barely see. I caught up with family friends today and it was lovely to see them. I won't tell you the story but the son now needs help for the rest of his life. They have a hard life but seeing them makes my day. I leave every time with tears in my eyes. Knowing what he went through and has to forever takes a piece of your heart. It's hard on his family but mine too as they are so close.
Be careful if you have a licence and drink or go out with friends.

Night time visit

My dad works a night shift and tonight we surprised him with a visit and dessert. We gave him a call to ask him where he was and then pulled up along side him. It must get pretty lonely sitting in a car all by yourself for the whole night so some company and ice-cream should make the night better. I don't get to see him much but it was nice going by to say hi. Wouldn't you agree that that's the best way to have dessert.

Practicing for assessment

In every class you some form of assessment. Assessment comes in all forms and my favourite would have to be playing a song. Band or music class would have to be the best by far. No worksheets - except for when you do theory which is only 3 times a term - and the only homework you get is practice your instrument at home and assessment is a playing a song. All my class time is spend playing music. That's got to be much better than maths and english.
Pick a song you want to play, practice it and play it well. Band is the easiest class and the class you'll have the most fun in. Who doesn't love making up a funny tune or putting a bunch of notes together; that may or not sound good...
Music is another form of art. Are you an artist waiting to be discovered?

A nap

Sorry there wasn't a post for yesterday.
Those nights you don't sleep you often tend to get tired the next day. You don't do school work or think well when you're tired. In the breaks you get at school take a nap. It's not sleeping but by resting you can concentrate better at school - maybe. If you fall asleep in class your teachers get annoyed and if you fall asleep at lunch time get a friend to wake you up.

Not who you think

Looks can be deceiving, no one is really who you think. It's like judging a book by its cover, you don't know what its like until you open it up and read it. A person may look innocent, be really nice, sweet and lovely but if you get to them they are an entirely different person. Everyone has two sides and they only show one, the other is kept a secret. A person has different personalities for different occasions. For example a person acts differently at school to the way they do at home.
A persons hidden side is normally their dark side. It's a hidden side they don't like showing.
Every person has more than one side. Threy are not who you think they are.

Fading

Those feelings you have for someone don't always last. Most people call love in school 'puppy love' because it's more a crush instead of truly loving someone. My feelings for someone are starting to fade and are now nothing more than just liking the person as a friend. When you think you really like someone you think you're in love. You might be or you might not. What do you do when your feelings go from being really strong to mild or weak? I feel guilty but it's not something I can control... Most of all, how do you tell that person?
The person will always hold a piece of your heart, they'll take it but you gave it to them. I know the person I gave mine to has.

Final touch-ups

Nothing is never really finished; you can always find someway to improve something. The thing you can always fix up though is a house. Not so long ago my dad moved in with his girlfriend and they slowly things have been getting done. The only things left are the garden and moving some furniture. Even after those get done they'll find something that needs improving or replacing.
Old houses constantly need fixing.
Name anything and think of a way to improve it, I'm sure you'll come up with more ways than one.

Theatre

Tonight I went to the theatre to watch a friend. He wasn't in the play, he controlled the sound. Sure the actors are the people who act the play out but there wouldn't be any play with sound and lighting. They spend the performance up in the bio box. I'm not entirely sure what a bio box is but the show wouldn't happen without one. It could be a profession or a hobbie. It may sound geeky or nerdy but its actually really cool.
Next time acknowledge what they do, it isn't as easy as it looks.

Pool patry

Today it was about 30 degrees, a perfect day to go swimming. It was a great way to cool down but spend the afternoon. A great group of friends too. They did push me under and hold me there, also stole things from each other and threw us in the water. Ever used a boggie-board in a pool? Although there are no waves to surf it's an extra large hand to splash water in a persons face. You can also tip the board over so the person falls off.
If you like to push someone under the water make sure you pull them up.
(If its sunny also where sunscreen.)

Working in the garden

That big space out the back or front of your house is the garden. Do you keep it looking nice and tidy or just let it grow? If you have pets, especially dogs they tend to ruin your garden. They dig holes and run through the garden beds. My god does exactly those and had ruined my garden. My job is to fill in the holes she digs and now redo the garden beds. I've been shovelling dirt and tanbark for most of the afternoon. It's a lot of hard work and isn't all that fun.

Family copmany

If you have siblings I'm pretty sure you've been to school with them. You tend to ignore them and are mean to them, I know that's what I'm like to my sister at school. She has a slight problem with friends at the moment - quite different to my problem with friends - and sits alone. Today I didn't let her sit alone, I made her come sit with me and my friends. She didn't talk or interact with us, she sat there and drew. I don't mind what she does, but it's nice knowing she is at least sitting with people. I do care about her and it was nice having her around today, I don't normally see her at school. She seemed to enjoy it, maybe she'll hang with me again tomorrow?
Yes you see family everyday at home and school is the time to get away from them, but it's really nice to see them and hang out with them, you get to see a different side to them.

And just letting you guys know that I might be stopping my blog if I can't find or hear about things to blog about. I really don't want to stop blogging as it's a fun hobbie, but I might have to... I don't want to beg but please comment bellow about things that happen to you - it might be useful for someone else.

What's your story?

Sorry there is only a post every two days at the moment... I do forget but honestly I don't know what else I can blog about with my teenage life. It's starting to repeat and get really boring. I don't want to keep writing about nothing and what I have to write about will make you fall asleep. I'll turn the blog over to you, what goes on in your teenage life? Boy or girls problems? Friend issues? Family issues? Bullying at school or just school in general? I'm now interested in knowing what your teenage life is like. You read mine and as I said, it's repeating. My goal for this blog is not to repeat a post or topic I've written about before and that's getting really hard now as I've done almost 240 posts.
Not every teenager is the same, so what's you story?

Comment bellow.

Together forever

Sorry there was no post for yesterday guys but there really isn't anything going on to blog about. Today was the 75th anniversary of my school. There were students from school when it started all the way back in 1938. The highlight of my day though was seeing two people. There was this couple there today and they have the sweetest story. They both went to school together in 1938 in year 7 and are married and still am.
When yu really love someone I guess it stays true.

A fun success

Remember the other day how I said we had that dress rehearsal, well tonight we had the actual Showcase. It was a great turnout for the night and everyone had a good time. The art exhibition was magnificent and the performances were amazing. None of this would have been ache useable thigh if it weren't for all our teachers who put in the effort and preparation but also the students, it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for them.
Spending the night at school isn't burning because you have friends and there's always somethingto do - plus it's the only time a school when you don't actually do work.
As its also Halloween, school does sound pretty boring.

Happy Halloween!!!

Worst class

Out of every class you have, there is always the one that you really dislike or even hate. I have one those classes, two actually but I dislike one more than the other. My worst days are when I have both in one day, that just messes with my day and my mood. Being in a bad mood isn't a great thing but it also puts you off learning. Apparently having a positive attitude means you learn better, and it is very true but sometimes you can't help being in a bad mod and then you do next to nothing.
You tell me, are they mood swings or is it an attitude problem?

28th October 2013
(Sorry I put it in the wrong blog. Whoops...)

Can't please all

I'm sure you have your favourite or preferred genre of movie. You watch most genre but prefer others. Do you go and watch any movie or only ones that interest you? I know I only watch ones that interest me but today I was pestered by my friends about movies. They were actually getting annoyed that I hadn't seen or heard of nearly everything they named, they seemed very disappointed. They were naming things though that I wasn't interested in or didn't like... They may find it fun but I know I don't. What I watch is up to me; you get to choose for yourself. Don't be forced to do something you don't want to do.
I guess you can't please everybody...

Dress rehearsal

Every year my school holds a showcase to well showcase what students have done. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come watch. There is a lot of preparation that goes into it though, months and a lot of dedication. Today was the dress rehearsal, a quick run though to see what needed that last amount of work and to do some final adjustments. Everyone starts to freak out as it gets closer which is understandable because the teachers start to panic as things may not be ready or something goes wrong. Not only are there but there is also an art display. That came be as stressful to put up as organizing the acts and performance. Every picture and piece of artwork needs a name and number and that is set up by students. If somethings missing it has to be followed up on.
The Showcase is pretty important for my school and everyone does their part to make it the best possible. Does your school do something like this?

Not the best

I guess we all have our good days and our bad days. I guess the same goes for the weekends, some are good and others bad. I've had a rather boring weekend and it wasn't one I'd like to have again. I've done basically nothing but chores; and we all know how much fun those are... I must say it did give me something to do but I would have rather done something else; maybe something that was actually fun?
How do you make a weekend fun?

Garage sales

I'm fairly sure you've been to or had a garage sale. It's kind of like shopping down at your local morning markets or in an op-shop; except it's at your house with things you own and want to get rid of. Today is national garage sale day - according to my mum - and so we had a garage sale. It wasn't a huge success but we did sell stuff and getting rid of things is good because it means you have more space - maybe for new stuff.
Have a look in those boxes sitting around your house and go though all the stuff you own ans see how much you find that you don't use. If you don't use it and don't want it ask to have a garage sale or if you know someone in need of it give it to them. Take it as a fun Spring clean out.

In you go

Remember a while back and I told you about these two puddles on my way to and from school? Well today my friends decided to try and get me in again, they did succeed with some help from my sister. But this time I didn't step in, I fell in. I stepped over it, slipped and fell backwards - my sister also let go of my arm and dropped me... My friends were nice though and helped my up and apologized for getting me soaked.
It is refreshing to get wet on a hot day but not so nice if it's muddy water... Maybe trying pushing someone into a pool instead of a puddle?

A night alone

Ever heard people saying they don't like being alone and how they constantly need someone to keep them company? Well having company is nice but you don't always need it; you just want it. It nice to b alone at times, not talk to anyone and just do something quiet. It's relaxing in a way, just chilling out by yourself. It is sometimes better when you have the house to yourself or you're in a place that no one well else is in.
Don't think you always need someone because you won't always have someone and if you can't live alone for a short period of time then you may not survive... Living alone isn't bad and being alone isn't bad, but it can be nice to get away from others at times.

Music change up

Everyone has a different taste in music. Not everyone likes every style and genre but you can listen to them; they just become background music. Tonight I got fed up of my music and wanted something new, something I'm not into and normally make background music. I asked a friend for some music and he gave me an the name of an album and the band, it turns out I really like it!
If you feel like you're in the mood for new music or just like to listen to different styles it really widens your range. I know tonight has opened mine. It really goes to show what can happen when you try new things.

Work but not on paper

Classes at school after a while tend to get pretty boring. They start to repeat themselves and all feel the same. Ever though of changing your class up a bit, maybe asking to do something a little fun or different? I do a language at school and we deiced a few lessons ago we decided to have a cooking lesson, all simply because someone asked to do so. We supplied everything ourselves and all paid some money. For about an hour and a half we cooked dumplings and the best part was we got to eat them!
Asking to do something never hurt anyone. Nothing will ever happen if you don't ask. You don't always get what you ask for but you'll never know if you never try.

A family treat

Today, was a fairly boring day to be honest. Not only that, it was really hot too. Classes at school weren't really the best. Though I'm here not to talk rant on about how bad my day was but more about my night. Unlike, during the day, my night was great! Weird right? It's only Monday...
Anyway, so out of the blue, my mother said that we're all heading out! That's all we knew. So we all got changed and got into the car. It was only then when we found out that the whole family was in for a treat. We got basically got to choose our dinner menu tonight as well as dessert. It was a great and tasty night. Although, I did feel extremely sick afterwards. I could hardly walk!

I hope you all have had experiences like these. They can be really nice to just head and talk with your family. Quality time.

Have a look

Generally when you go to a new place you want to know what's there. I've recently moved house and don't know more than a few streets around the place. I had some spare time up my sleeve today I decided to ride around a bit.
It's nice to just look at stuff. Not everything needs to be looked at with close detail but you don't want to zip past and not see it either, you just want to look. Yeah, houses are boring and so are the streets but being inside a house can be as boring as the place it's in.
Grab a friend - nicely though - and go for a ride with them. You'll see lots. Maybe even have fun?

Friday, 18 October 2013

Too much

When do you say enough is enough or it's too much? Well at the moment there are 8 people in my house and it's too much for everyone. You can't keep everyone entertained and people generally start fights. You don't have much patience and can lose your temper at any minute. Although having lots of people can be fun as you have more people to talk to and play with.
You can only tolerate so much. Too much is never good, even though the saying is "you can never have too much of anything".

Worry

You can worry about anything; school work, friends, family, animals, anything. when you worry you get stressed and anxious at times. I worry about most things and at the moment a few friends and my sister. I know people worry about me too and I don't know whether that's a good or bad thing? It does mean that they care and look out for me. Worrying is another way of trying to help them.
It's not a bad thing to worry about people but the stress that can follow is. It can sometimes build tension up inside of you and that's something I don't know how to get rid of. If you really care about them worrying is a good thing, but don't worry too much - then it is bad.

Turn to who?

Who do you go to when you need help or need someone else to know about something? Friends and family are both correct answers. But when you don't think you can trust anybody but only a few people, then what? Keeping everything to yourself isn't good. It's like building all these feelings up and not letting them see the light of day. It's not good in any way to keep absolutely everything to yourself. Finding people to trust isn't easy but you will always have someone you know you can trust, you feel it in your gut. Don't trust someone if your gut isn't right, because if you tell someone and whatever you said gets out, you'll have some form of issues them for a while and trust is something friendships need to survive.

Realising now

Only now am I finding school slightly un-fun. It may be because you sit in a chair all day and hear teachers talking but also because there is nothing to talk about... School work doesn't really change and not every topic is everyone's favourite. Okay, yeah, I am finding school very boring. But how do you make something fun when you just can't?
I really don't know how to make school more fun at the moment... Maybe you can help me out?

Expectations

Nothing ever lives up to your expectations. Sometimes things don't go the way you wanted them too and sometimes they do; but it may not exactly how you imagined it. I had high hopes for my first day back at school, seeing my friends for the first time after the break and for the last term of school together. To be honest, the day didn't live up to my expectations. The day seemed to lag many things; happiness and enthusiasm. They were the main key to making my day what I wanted it to be. Without those two key emotions my expectations weren't lived up to.
You can't expect to get everything you want down to the last detail, but you can sometimes get them to go your way. (Just don't hope for it every time.)

Last time

So tomorrow is back to school. Not enough time you say? I must agree with you on that. As my friend mentioned in The beginning of the end post, this is our last year and now our last term of high school. The term that the formal and graduation where you get your year 10 certificate take place in. But it is also the last time you go to school with all of your friends because of college. Not one person is alike and each college offers something different and if it has what you need or want; that's where you go.
The school term is also shorter so assignments and tests will be done given earlier than usual. Also 10 weeks worth of learning is cramped into eight weeks so that means extra work and you have to work harder. Yes it's the last term but you can't take the easy road because there isn't one.
Make your last term count because it can also change your final grade - that D, C or B could become a C, B or an A. Might want to surprise yourself, maybe even your parents?

Sorry about there being no post for yesterday.

Date night

What do you think of when you hear the term 'date night'? Going out with somebody, yeah, that's about right. It can be more than one person that you go out with. I haven't spent much quality time with my dad in a long time and because everyone else was out doing things - as it is Friday night - he took me out. Dinner and movie, with plenty of time to talk, it's a good way to catch up. I don't see my dad much and time alone is becoming a very rare thing so whatever time I get; I'll take.
Now a date with a friend or boyfriend or girlfriend is different. I can't really talk about that as I haven't been on one. Maybe you could explain that?

Movie day

You've got days you do nothing on and those are the days that rain none stop. Ever thought you'd be doing that on a perfect sunny day? Strange thing to do because normally I'm saying go outside in nice weather.  But when the UV rays are high and it's hot weather the air conditioner is my preferred option to sunburn - I'm already sunburnt so I don't want to get burnt anymore because that just hurts really bad. Being inside all day can get boring but when you got hundreds of movies you can watch and you've got a TV, it's a pretty great day. If you haven't seen something in a while or just wanna watch that absolute favourite of yours, there is no better time.
Be sensible with any choice you make, and make it the right one.

Floriade

Spring time in Canberra means it's famous for one thing, Floriade. It's known that people come from all over the world to see it. The flower displays with the colours and patterns have no words able to describe them. Floriade doesn't only have flowers but a gnome painting completion and a few rides. Walking around the fronds you see the colours and read the signs with the picture or pattern and a description. But you can't see the picture from the ground, you need to see it from up high. The answer to that is the ferris wheel! It gives you the best views and makes for great pictures - if you're into that kind of thing.
Stage 88 is the place for entertainment if you go to Floriade. Schools bands, solo performers, acts or if you get bored and the kids need to lose some energy they'll dance, play, whatever - it has to be the cutest performance you'll see. It's also a great spot to have a picnic.
They don't just have flower displays but small stalls as well.
Running into someone you know is always great. You can spend time with them or move on after saying hi
I say Floriade is a great opportunity to spend time with family or anyone. It makes for special memories. Floriade has something for everyone, what for sit have for you?

Come to Canberra next year for Floriade! Canberra isn't boring and in spring it's pretty beautiful.

Active and relaxed

It's nice to relax after doing something active. It's not good to relax too much but it feels good so we do it. But there's not much point in relaxing if you don't do anything to deserve it. A jog, bike ride, walk or even jumping on the trampoline; that all counts. I like being active so I went for another bike ride. It was just a trail ride but a bike ride is a bike ride and the effort is all the same. Energy is used and you need to relax to get it back, and eat. A movie is a good way to lead and chill out.
You may not be an active person but its a worth while day if you get active and then chill out.

Dungeons & Dragons

If you're a person who love to use their imagination and has a lot of spare time up your sleeve, you should consider playing Dungeons & Dragons. There is a lot of thinking involved but you need to be able to stay realistic at the same time as creative. It's not one of those games where you play for small amount of time but hours and hours. My dad's been playing since before I was born and has gotten me interested. Tonight he has taken me along to one of his games  and I'm playing with the group. You live as your character and live in your mind, the world that gets created.
May not be your thing but it is a lot of fun. Maybe you'd give it a go one day, or I you know someone who loves gaming this might be the game for them.

Mountain biking

Remember learning to ride a bike for the first time? How your parents taught you and helped you and how you learnt on a flat ground so you wouldn't hurt yourself when you fell? You get older though and start to move and try out different terrain. I went mountain biking for the first time today. Even though I'd risen on rocky surfaces it was extremely different. A few rocks here and there on any road and a bike path is nothing, mountain biking I'd the real deal. You're out there in there bush basically and have a track made of dirt, rocks and trees branches. Scary? No. It's actually really fun! Riding on a flat ground isn't much fun so a tree branch every now and then is changing it up, making it different. Riding on pure dirt and rock tests you because you have bushes and trees on either side if the track so you need to beaware of everything. There are also many things that you need to know if you don't want to fall off or go over the handle bars.
It's fun and really different. Don't go alone incase you injure yourself and wear a helmet! (Yes, I will be you mother about that.)

Soak up the sun

Why do cats lie in the sun all the time? To get warm of course, and to soak up the sun. It's the same reason why you hang out in the sun. Apart from getting a tan it's great. It makes you warmer but it also makes you happy. I sat in the sun for almost four hours today. When the wind comes out or there is a cool breeze, you concerntrate on the warth from the shn and you dont feel cold - thats a tip to stay warm. It was nice hanging with my friend, I haven't actually seen any if my friends in a while so it was nice to see someone. We sat in the sun because it was cold and we did soak both in and up the sun. Does that sound weird?
The sun puts you in a happy mood. Don't believe? Well what does a cloudy day make you or a rainy day? Also, remember that tip about staying warm - it really works. (I'm not lying to you. I'm a pretty honest person.)

Refusing

I bet you've had to do something you really don't want to do. I could list a few things but you'd be here forever if I did. The most common reason for not wanting to do something is your parents. Ever had a surprise vacation or been forced to go on some trip you don't want to? Well that's my problem right now. I'm going away...again... (Don't worry, I'll still be able to do a post for each day.)
Most people would love to go on holiday to Queensland. There are beaches and it always seems to be sunny. But not me, I prefer a field of green grass and a blue sky with clouds. I probably will end up having fun, but as I am being forced to go on this holiday, I may not enjoy it so much.
Try and have a good time when you do anything; even if you are being forced to and don't want to. (Just saying, putting up a fight is no use; because you lose.)

Ratings

When you go to buy a game or watch a movie, you cheek the rating. The rating on anything is there for you safety but also it may be inappropriate.
There are 5 different ratings for a movie and I personally think MA15+ should be for people !5 years and over, not under 15 with parental super vision. Just because you're parents are alright with you seeing it, it doesn't mean that it is appropriate for them to watch it. I went to the movies today to see a movie rated MA15+. Now my dad and I are over 15, but my two sisters are not. After watching it, it was highly inappropriate for the both of them to watch.
The next time you are thinking of going to the movies to watch any movie. Even if you really want to see it, cheek the rating; because it may not be appropriate for you.

China highlights

So I'm back. I would've done yesterday's post but I was tired - jet lag, sure you understand. But the biggest thank you in the world goes to my friend who did my blogs and posts.

China was pretty amazing. No my ideal place for a holiday but so worth it for the sights you can see over there. If I told you everything about my trip You would still be reading next year...so I'll just do one highlight from each city I went to.

So my trip was a school one. No family, just teachers and students. We became a family over there, I even got a Chinese family - thanks to my teacher who said that in the shop, we faked and acted to be a family. Good times.
The first part of the trip was in Taipei in Taiwan. We stayed with a host family who took care of us and showed as around the country. I made new friends! The highlight from Taipei, was probably spending time with the whole family playing Mahjong. They taught us to play and everyone had a good time.
We then flew back to the mainland - after being stranded at the airport for many hours - and toured through Hangzhou. The highlight from Hangzhou was the first day out of the two we were there. We went to see a show but afterwards went to a small market place I guess. It had a haunted house - with was so much fun, only because I scared everyone with me and bonus points for making the teacher scream - and a small water park. A friend and I became the most interesting thing there; the park attraction. (Almost 500 people were watching us.) We did some obstacle courses and fell in. Who can go by water and not go in at some point? It was the best part of the trip!
A change of transport as we caught a train to Shanghai. It was the prettiest place we went to on the trip. This highlight is more like two highlights. The first was on the first night we arrived - the only night we spent there. We decided to walk along the river front. So an hour of my night - it was late, very late - the group was split up taking pictures and enjoying themselves. On one side of the river you had old buildings with yellow lights and on the other all the new skyscrapers lit up with bright colours. It was both stunning and absolutely beautiful. In a way, it was also romantic. The second highlight was a light tunnel the next day under the river we walked along. That was just spectacular! The highlight for everyone else in Shanghai was the Oriental Pearl Tower, well the glass floor at least.
And the last part was in Beijing. We caught an overnight train - not on my list of transportation but was an interesting experience. The Great Wall was the highlight of Beijing and comes in a very close second place of best part of the trip. Forcing myself to climb the Great Wall was the best choice I made on the trip. If I hadn't I have put myself down about it for the rest of my life. Wondering why I didn't want to climb it? Well it's height was one reason and the second was it was really steep so I didn't want to climb it in case I couldn't get back down. But it had a great view - from what I could see anyway with all the smog that the place they had there. (The Great Wall is highly recommend for going to China.)

Well that was my trip. For the friends I made, the things I saw and did, this trip was one of a lifetime and one I'm glad I didn't miss out on. I recommend you go on all the school and non school based things you get the chance to. They are lifetime opportunities, and they do not come around lively.

Long time, no see

Ever had a friend who moved far away, then show up at your doorstep out of nowhere? Well, this happened to me today. It was a very pleasant surprise indeed. He moved about a 8 hour drive away from where I live and he's able to come down for school holidays which  he and I are now both on. We didn't do too much because it was so unexpected so was no plan. We simply just walked around the neighborhood and talked. Just a nice little catch up on each others lives but even that was good.
Surprise visits from old friends are extremely happy and joyful. I hope you all have these experiences once in awhile.

Hospital visit

Yesterday, I was told that my dad was at the hospital. I'm not sure what happened or when exactly just that he was there. Later that day, I was told he had a stroke. There cause was something to do with his brain. I don't know too much about it. Today, he's still there resting and he'll continue to be there until Tuesday. The family stopped by just to see how things are going as you would do when a family member is in hospital.
Hospitals are such boring places. Walking through the corridors that are extremely bland and only half lit with dim lights. You're stuck in a bed all day and may be an unlucky one that has to share a room with others with the same problem as you that you don't even know.
I will certainty do my best to avoid going there...

Laser tag

Who here has been to a laser tag game or have at least heard of laser tag? It's an extremely fun activity. Basically, you put of a vest with a flashing coloured lights and as well as a gun, get sent into maze and start shooting your friends with lasers. It may sound childish in a way but I reckon there's no age to it whether your 10 or 75.
Today I was invited to my friends birthday party and you can guess what we did. Yep, played laser tag. There were 3 teams. Red, blue and green team each with 4 players. So, you could you either stick with a team member or your whole team even or you can just head out by yourself which is normally what I do because not only are you fighting for your team, but also fighting to be the best player out of everyone else. I didn't end up being that best player out of the two games though I am happy with 3rd and 2nd place and both games I was on the winning team which is a plus.
If you haven't played laser tag, I highly advise it.

The beginning of the end

Today, was the final day of term 3 where I live. Which firstly means that it's the start of two weeks free from school but it also means when I get back to school after those 2 weeks, it will be the beginning of the end. You see, I'm in year 10. When school starts, it will be term 4, the last term of the year and for me, the last term of high school which is a massive deal. At the end of the year, there will be formal and graduation which are both very special and important. Not so much formal but the graduation.
Your yr 10 graduation is when you will or will not receive your yr 10 certificate which quite possibly be one of the most important papers you'll receive. This certificate can control your future. This certificate can get you jobs and put you on paths to your dreams.

For those who are in the same situation as me, all I can say is good luck.

Movie night

Who still goes to DVD stores and rents movies? Nowadays people just download movies off the internet but I'm not that kind of person, I still go out with the family and rent, that's the stores are there. So yesterday, I went to rent some DVDS and watched them tonight. This was exactly what I needed. Me time. Just to relax and enjoy a good movie or two.
Personal time is important, make sure you have some once in a while.

Lab rats

In primary school, if I can remember correctly, I was chosen to be apart of a long term research program that went y the name of LOOK. LOOK standing for lifestyle of our kids. The program mainly focused on out our growth an health (our fitness levels). So we were given pedometers, do the beep test a lot, planking, jumping and hand eye coordination activities. These were usually done at school bit there was more to it once we got to the hospital where we continued with getting blood tests, scans and x rays. Now after 4 or 5 years, they're back and I' m currently in the process of it all again.
Have any of you been a lab rat for experiments or long term programs?

Capture the flag

On every last tuesday of the month, the boys and girls aged between 12 and 18 in my church come together at night and have a planned youth activity & tonights activity was a great one! If you haven't guessed, it was a game of capture the flag but since it was at night we used glowsticks! Better yet, the location was great for it and we had a great turnout. I highly advise you try it sometime.

Breakdown

Hey everyone, sorry it's so late tonight, if you haven't guessed, I had a bit of a breakdown so I ran to my friends place not too far away to just talk and try and cool down and clear my thoughts. It really helped me out. I sure hope you all friends who really care for you and are willing to help out. I'm sure you've all had a bit of a breakdown once in your life. It's tough but just remember, if you look hard enough, there will always be someone.

Meetings

Every Sunday for me is pretty much the same. I wake up, have a shower, breakfast get into my Sunday best ( suit and tie) and out the door for Church. It's been like this for me for my entire life...I may not have been wearing a suit and tie but I still went to Church. It's quite unfortunate because even now, I don't get a say. I HAVE to go. As much as I really do't like. I've heard other church meeting only go for an hour or so but this isn't the case for me. 3 whole hours! This includes classes and sunday school. It's fairly boring. Excuse me for complaining today but hey, it gives me an excuse to actually wear a suit and tie which is pretty cool at my age.

Overseas

Who has a friend or friends who lives overseas, in another country? I do. I have some mates who live over in America. I got some cousins there too as well as the Philippines. I even have some friends who are currently in Taiwan but they're not permanently there like my ones in America. Though they're still very far away. Depending on which country your friends may be, it would be pretty difficult to keep up with them or just take a really long time. Luckily my overseas friends are easy to contact simply through facebook. Throughout today, I got to check up with one my friends who are overseas which was great because I got to read a little bit about what it's like in a place totally unfamiliar to me as well as them. I hope over time I'll be able to read more great adventures and experiences from my friend.

Musicals!

Hey Everyone, sorry tonight's post is late. I've been out watching a school production. I'm sure you have all at one stage in your life have been in a school production whether you were still in primary school or high school or even college. Tonight, I got to go to one. A musical. (Sorry if you're not the musical type of person) This school musical was a special one though because it was the schools very first production whatsoever! Even  more special for me though because I used to go to that school and I got to see all my friends perform.
It was a wonderful night full of singing and joy and I hope the your night was too.

Miss you

Hello Everyone! So yes, as you read yesterday the girl who would usually write this blog is off to China and has given the big responsibility of updating the her blog to me while she is away.

If you haven't guessed, I am a very good friend of hers, we're pretty close. So, this last week of school for me will be interesting not having her there or my other good friends who went with her. It's sad isn't it? When a good mate of yours leaves for a long period of time and have limited ways to keep in contact. Overtime, you'll probably start to miss that person a lot or instantly. I know I most likely will but I'll survive and for those in the same situation as I am currently, I hope you will too.

Free

So I'm off to China tomorrow. Today is my last post for this month. There will still be a blog to read but it won't be done by me, it will be done by my friend who does it when I can't.

I finished all my work, packing and organising, so now I'm free. The world is no longer sitting on my shoulders and I don't have to worry about aything. So until I get on the plane I can put my feet up, maybe even fly? I'll only be doing that on the plane though.
I'll see you in about 12 or 13 days and look forward to telling you about my trip. (I'm still keeping to my promise of making up for this week.)

Break down

You can only take a certain amount of anything. If you have too much of anything it's not good for you. So what happens when you have too much pressure and can't take it anymore? You break down mentally; a mental breakdown. Everything became too much for you and you just can't handle it.
As I'm going off to china soon I've got a lot of work to finish. Today I just couldn't keep all the stress and pressure in anymore. It felt like my world had completely collapsed in on me.
Calming down is probably the hardest thing to do. Take a step back and breathe. Take a break from whatever you're doing and got do something else.
It's not the end if the world, even if it feels like it is.

So sorry it up late again.

Nerves

In 2 days I leave for China. People get butterflies all the time. Most of the time before you perform but how about before a trip overseas to a place you've never been before a that doesn't speak English? Going somewhere you've never been is exciting; it's a new adventure! But you get nervous before you go anywhere new. I've been overseas many times and I've had butterflies because I didn't know what to expect. This time, the country does not speak English, and although I do mandarin at school, I'm not that great at speaking another language. So I'm nerves about a lot of things, I'm taking it as a good sign.

Sorry guys, that does mean I won't be able to do any posts but my friend has said he will, so there will still be a blog to read and posts every day. I also am so very sorry about the posts being late and there not being one for yesterday. But keep in mind I'll have a great post when I get back from my trip! I will make up for this week.

Close call

Surprise, surprise; I played soccer again today. It was just a fun game - which ended up being not so fun for me. During the second half of the game I was goalie. Now, when playing goalie you need to make quick decisions on the spot. So when a player is running towards you and defense isn't where you need them, you charge the player. It's the right thing to do but didn't end so well for me today. I charged the playing running for goals and when she took the shot, I put my hands up to stop it - as you do playing goalie. The ball almost went into the goals and I came very close the dislocating my finger... I went off injured and watched from the side lines for basically the whole of the second half. What do you mean the side lines are boring? Well, they are in a way but you get to shout at your team - helping them of course, not meanly. It's also nice every now and then sitting back and watching, but you really do want to get back out there and play because its the best part.
So many things were a close call today. It's good when they don't go from bad to worse. But you make close calls on many things, like driving in a car for instance; you need to pay attention to many different things and make decisions on the spot if someone else is doing the wrong thing.

A day trip

Ever left for somewhere in the morning and come back the same day? I did that today. I took the day off school and went to Sydney to do shopping - for furniture, not clothes. Most of the day was spent driving and in the car but shopping is a good way of stretching your legs if you've sat down for too long.
I didn't have much energy left after walking around for ages - my lack of sleep didn't help - but it was worth it. I could have slept in the car many times but there was music and talking....so I had to put up with little energy.
Go on a day trip. They're fun but sometimes you need a really early start, so if you're not a morning person it is not recommended but its worth it when you get to your destination. (Make sure you have some form of entertainment in the car.)

Playback

Hey Everyone, it's her friend today. She told to me to apologise to you all for there not being a post yesterday.

So, who has ever recorded themselves just talking or even singing and them play it back? Well, I know I have and I regretted it. I sounded horrible and I bet it's the same for those who have tried this. Today, I had a familiar experience to one I just mentioned. You see, I'm apart of the school band and yesterday the band had an important performance, the 'Band Festival'. Band festival or just band fest is as it says, a kind of festival where different community or local school bands perform to their best abilities in front of a judge where he or she will mark your band on a whole on how they went. All this, is recorded onto a CD so afterwards, you get to hear yourself play and you get to hear the judges comment on you. With that all explained back to what happened today but you can probably guess what already happened. In rehearsals today, we listened to that CD and my oh my did it sounds bad! Sure it mostly pretty good but sometimes you can't help but accidentally play a wrong note or not be tuned properly. Despite the band sometimes being flat, sharp or playing a few wrong notes, we got a good 30 out of 40 marks and a fun time.

When's best?

Most teenagers go to the mall whenever they can. Generally after school so they have more time to catch up with friends and avoid doing work and also on weekends for the same reasons. But what about really late in the afternoon? Well if you go right after school there are normally millions of teenagers and kids and on weekends families got to the mall for shipping purposes but going later on in the afternoon - on a school day - there tend to be less people of all ages. Well for starters everyone has to go home at some point, shops close and there's really nothing to do so there's not point in being there. It's one of the best times to go shopping because no ones there. (Also if you have friends who work late hours you can pop I and see them.)
What time is the best time to go to the mall?

Parent feud

I'm pretty sure you have arguments or disagreements with your parents. That doesn't really include fighting with them but that can happen if the disagreement or argument is taken to far. It's a small feud if it goes on a while but generally not much longer than a day.
I don't agree on much with my mum and we don't really get along.  We disagree on a lot and argue on just about everything. It could just be the fact I'm a teenager and she doesn't understand or we just don't get along. Whatever it is, it drives most people crazy. There are time we get along but 70% of the time we don't.
Have you got parent problems? Do you know how to fix them maybe, work through stuff? I really like to know if you do. (Might save me in the long term...)

Misunderstanding

Hey. I'm sorry I've been posting late and that I'm not doing them but I have a lot to do before I go overseas. I'm very hushed and am sorry but I am trying.

I'm pretty sure you've misunderstood someone before. Heard a word wrong, but what about misinterpreting what someone said altogether? Today there was a big misunderstanding about lunch. Instead of having lunch together we were having lunch separately. We had no idea so we waited awhile before we had lunch. But it was worth waiting because we had a lot of fun on the street afterwards.
Make sure you listen really carefully so you don't misinterpret what others say because it's not fun when you get it wrong.

A thank you

It was my last game of soccer today and what a great game it was. I couldn't have had such a great game though without my team. As it being my first season they were supportive and of course fun and awesome. They told me what to do and helped me as I wasn't always sure what to do. It was a great all round season with our wins and loses but we always had a laugh in every game and made sure we made each game enjoyable. I can't thank you enough, you made this a very enjoyable winter and first season - I will definitely play a second season next year.
Thanks girls for an awesome time and making each training session and game a good one. See you at Gala Day for the very last time. But where would we be without our coach and manager who trained us, pulled us up on the things we did wrong and helped us improve and congratulating us when we did well and when we didn't.
Thanks everyone! Great, great, great season of soccer!!!

Not in it to win it

So sorry about yesterday.

You don't have to be fit or athletic to participate in an athletics carnival. Today my school had our athletics carnival and what a funny day it was. Running events are not about winning. The day is not about winning. It's all about having fun and having a go. There were kids running backwards and in circles and actually racing of course. You've got other events like javelin, shot put, long jump and discuss which are fun because you get to throw stuff - not at people though.
Having fun is a great and beats winning. Participate and get points, by doing so and you might end up winning, without intending to doing so. You're not in it to win it, you're there to have fun! (Participate in as much as possible, you cares if you aren't good - you beat everybody you doesn't even try.)

Yes but no

I'm pretty sure you've all wanted to do something, but you couldn't for some reason? I do it much too often... It's one way you miss out on a lot but you have your own reason for not doing it. The two main reasons are you are either scared or you don't think it's right. If you don't do whatever you wanted to do, you probably made the right choice; but if you really want to do it you can always try again. The thing you shouldn't do though, is to force yourself into doing it. If you want to do something but you say no - it's that gut of yours talking and it's almost always right - and you shouldn't do it. If you want to do something and your gut says yes, then do it. Just never, ever, force yourself to do something you know isn't right or feel right.
I tell you from my experience, forcing yourself to do something makes you feel worse than missing out on it.

Puddles

Rainy days are so much fun, especially if you're a little kid. Who doesn't love jumping in puddles? It hasn't rained here but there are two puddles on my way to and from school. They somehow manage to stay full of water, which ends up becoming mud after awhile. Now I've got some great friends - they try and push (drag) you into the puddles. Today they were successful - after attempt 500 or something? Muddy water isn't clean and I stepped right into the middle of it because I had no where else to put my foot. I ended up walking home barefoot - my shoes were a little wet.
Now pushing people into puddles is not a good idea and you shouldn't do it. But if you want to go walking through puddles go ahead. It is fun. Jump or walk through either muddy puddles or just puddles of water - no one is going to stop you. People don't recommend it but what you do is entirely up to you.
(Just remember 'singing and dancing in the rain' if you want to go out and jump in puddles.)

Life goals

How often do you think about your future? Come the end of high school and all through college you're setting yourself up for the future; your future. But they only talk about future jobs and the small goals you want. I'm talking long term; your whole life. You've had to at least once in your life thought about owning a house, having children, maybe getting married, moving out and travelling? Ever planned that in your head, just for fun? You may not think of it like this but your dreams you have and the stuff you make up for fun, it's the things that you want most; it's all part of your life's goal. I've been thinking about it a lot lately. It's fun to dream and set goals.
A goal never has to be reached. A goal is just a guideline. Come close to it or go way past it, your goal is just a guideline and although your goal may never change your dreams might and that changes how far you close you come to that goal. It will always be there - waiting to be reached.

A new day

Well winter is now in the past and spring is now the present. Welcome the warm weather and you can come out of hibernation. The days are going to start getting longer and longer, so there is more sunshine for you to enjoy! That may also mean wearing some sunblock or sun-cream so you don't burn and a hat as well. But what else does spring bring? Spring cleaning! Yep, start cleaning - you had winter to slack off.
But today it was also Father's Day. You make their day special. I only see my dad four-six days a month so we make him feel extra special. We changed the day up by going out to breakfast, shopping and then chilling out at home. There were some presents and many jokes and laughs. Hope your dad had a great day - they only get it once a year, they get to be extra special for just one day.
Welcome to Spring ladies and gentlemen!

Old Westerns

The best movies were made many, many, many years ago; your old style Western movie. No special effects needed and they have the BEST music, no point trying to deny it. I've watched a few and they are just awesome. You get a great laugh - the fighting is the best - and good, old...showdown. What's not to love about A Western? Tonight I watched the Magnificent Seven and it is the best western I have seen, by far.
If you want a good movie any western will do. The music is great throughout the whole thing.

Here is the theme to the Magnificent Seven and it plays for almost the whole movie. (Meaning you should watch the movie.)
Also They call me Trinity and Trinity is still my name are both great and very funny too

Running out of time

Everything comes to an end. The day for me is just about to end, the school week just ended and so did a movie I just watched. Not only do things end though, but they also run out of time after a while - normally before they end. I had another maths test today - my school loves giving students those. I had an hour but that wasn't enough because it can to an end and I ran out of time, so I didn't finish.
At the end of every day everything comes to an end. Whether you like it or not something will always either end or run out.

Boredom

People these days get bored very easily. Younger kids can entertain themselves for hours, teenagers for a maximum of about an hour and adults just always seem to have something to do. I know how easily it is to get bored and I get bored a few times a day. Mainly in those subjects you don't like and of course at home when there is nothing to do. So what does one do the entertain themselves? Well you could do what young children do and use your imagination and have a ball or you could find something you enjoy doing and do that. If you get really bored and have nothing to do you could just find a book or download these get things called apps on you smart device and play that - they seem to entertain people.
Don't get so bored in classes that you fall asleep though and don't play games in class to entertain yourself either.

Nothing to lose

Do you have a lot? Friends, money, whatever? Whether you have everything or have absolutely nothing, you have nothing to lose. If you have something that could get lost, act like it won't. Smile like there will be no tomorrow and show the world you can be happy when you're not. The more you think the worst will happen and that things will go wrong, they will. Think you're going to lose everything and you will, think you have nothing to lose and you won't lose anything. It's funny how things work. I don't understand how logic these days work but it seems to. Must be like how some things only make sense to you and others just don't get it... Funny, huh?

Missing something

Ever had that feeling where you know you're missing something? Thoughts do like walking out on people. But have you ever had the feeling that something might have been kept from you? This time instead of leaving something behind, something has been left out. It's one of those funny gut feelings you get. Yeah, not pleasant but are always right - mostly. If you are missing out on something and it's being kept from you, so what? It might be about you or involve you or it might not be of your concern at all. If someone wanted you to know you would've been told. You don't miss out on anything if you weren't told, less to know, more space to think and more learning space is available in your head! (More learning space in your head, the smarter you'll be.)
Don't worry, missing out on something isn't the end of the world. It's still spinning, you're alive, I'm alive and life goes on. There is no need to stress.

Living on the couch

Most sick people either live in bed or on the couch. The past two days I've lived on the couch. It is rather comfy and warm when you're under a blanket but it really is boring. You've probably got a TV and a phone/iPod or something like that, yes? How long until that gets boring, a few hours maybe or even less? Well there isn't much on TV during the day, you can't really talk to people because everyone's at school and there's no one at home. There is the option of sleeping - but I doubt that with two dogs running around and barking at everything. Living on the couch is boring and you've got lots of things to choose from, but how about living in bed? Not many people have TVs in their room and even though you probably still have your devices.
A bed beats the couch any day, but the couch offers more... So, which to pick when you're sick?

No voice

Sorry today it's up late.

Not having a voice means you miss out on a lot. The past few days I've had no voice because I've been sick. I've been teased a bit but it's taken as fun and games. Fun and games to who though? Everyone but the person getting teased. All my life I've been the quiet person who never spoke up, always missed out on a lot because they were too shy. Are you the same kind of person as me? Well this year I told myself to change, I forced myself to change. I'm more confident, I'm still a little shy and don't speak up much but I can now have a conversation with someone I just met, whereas I couldnt before.
Not having a voice isn't great. You miss out on so much. It makes you sad knowing you could've done it but you just didn't use your voice. You were given a voice and you should use it.
I've missed many chances and one just very recently. I can never say what I feel and that always saddens me the most. Use your voice and move out of your comfort zone. (You may find a new comfort zone if you move out of your old one.)

An anniversary

Today one year ago my dads girlfriend moved into her new house. To celebrate their first year we threw a huge dinner party - we had a curry night. The day was spent shopping, preparing and cooking. After a good half days work of getting everything ready and cleaning the house you get to relax - for a short period of time because guests start arriving. Tonight there were 32 people in the house - yep, a huge curry night/party.
Having huge dinners is a way of getting to meet new people, you can go in and out of conversations and it's great knowing everyone is getting along. You don't need to celebrate something to have a dinner party. You just need to get it organised and it takes a lot of work. It's a great night and it's not a lot of work if everyone pitches in.

Dress-up

Remember being little and having those dress-up days at school? Today was one of those I guess. As it being book week at my school they said we could dress up as our favourite book character. I guess the 'book' also means movie or film - apparently. It was actually really nice to see how many people dressed up - it reminded me of primary school with all the pajama days and dress up days. A few friends of mine dressed up along with a good portion of the school - I didn't dress up - but everyone looked great! I'd say there were more movie characters than book characters but still, it counted and everyone enjoyed the day.
Next time your school has some form of dress up day join in and participate! They're fun and makes you a little kid again.

Training in the rain

Sorry again about last night, wasn't in a very good mood or feeling too great either.

Do you pay a sport? Well, I play soccer and the season is almost over. We train Thursday nights and the best training session tonight. I've two weeks of the season left and probably won't have another great training session like tonight's. Now you may think I'm crazy and my whole team is as well but we trained for and hour and a half in the pouring rain. Most of us wore jumpers but I was a little crazy and just wore a t-shirt. Was I cold? Oh yeah, I was freezing! But running around you get warm but doesn't mean you don't go a little numb... I'm not the smartest cookie but I do know how to have fun in the rain with a bunch of friends. We got soaked and had many great laughs. No one fell over and no one got muddy and there were no injuries. Over all the night was great. You don't actually have to play the sport, but if you like running and soccer or any sport really, I don't see why you can't go along and join in? I did it last year and had a great time. Who knows, maybe you'll end up playing like I did.

Don't look down

Hey, it's her friend again today. She isn't feeling the best today so she asked me to type it up.

Now for me, whenever I'm stressed, angry or just need to relax and calm down, I find places that are well above my head like trees or buildings. I like to think as myself as I climber so it's not too much of a challenge for me to get up high. That is of course, depending on what your climbing. Today I climbed the gym of my old school which is around 10 metres high maybe? All I was standing was a bar about 5 cm thick or 2 inches. So, it was me, the bar and a 10 metre drop onto concrete. Scary? Just as long as you don't look down and don't think about it. Which was pretty easy to do when you're enjoying the warm sun on your face.
Totally worth it with the weather where I live.

I just wanted to add something, sorry I couldn't do it today guys. But thank you to my friend who did - I can always count on you.

Jabbed

Immunizations. Everybody gets them and you get them many times, it's not a one off thing. You need them when you are little, when you travel and sometimes just because you're sick. I'm off to China soon on a school trip and yes, I needed to get some needles. I got them today actually. I needed three but they can combine vacations so I get three kinds in two needles - score for me. Are one those people - like me - who absolutely hate getting immunized? Like I just said, I hate them. So today when I got mine I brought a friend along. They held my hand and made things better.
If you don't like needles and your parents aren't enough support take a friend. They'll hold your hand and make things better. It gives you somebody to talk to to take your mind off the needle and you have some company.

Gossiping

You've all talked about somebody behind their back before, but how do you know if some has or is? I think it is quiet simple. Here are a few ways so you know. 1) The conversation going on suddenly stops and the topic either changers or does not continue on. 2) There is look between passed around and that look is the look you get from people. 3) You can be talked to little or not at all for a while. That's what I have noticed but if you know other ways of knowing who is talking about you behind your back I'd love to know.
It isn't nice talking about others behind their back. Some can tell and others can't but everyone hurts. Some rumors are spread by others over hearing and people take it the their advantage when they are either jealous or annoyed.
If you are talking about someone behind their back stop. It hurts them but you don't know that. It's like being a bully, the other always gets hurt but it will all come back to you one day. Do you remember that saying, 'what goes around comes around'.

Sunday markets

What do you like to do with your Sunday morning? Probably sleep in, am I right? I prefer lying in bed awake to sleeping in but it comes under the same thing really. I decided this morning to get up early and go down to the markets. I hadn't been in years and they are fun. There is old stuff and new stuff, at really cheap prices too! I got some great things for a total of $7. A set of glasses, jewelry and what some people consider junk a tin can. The markets I went to are called 'Trash and Treasure'. I guess it has that name because someone else's junk becomes another's treasure. I got some great things that I can use as gifts or keep to put on display.
If you have a local market you should go and cheek it out. Maybe you have some stuff lying around your house you don't want or need anymore? The markets are a great way to sell stuff and meet people. (Also you might get away from chores and doing house work. One of my reasons.)

Changing moods

Mood wings or just changing your mood in general isn't something that happens with click of your fingers. In some cases it does but not this time, not for me anyway. The last few days I've been really down, yesterday especially. I find it hard to act happy when being super sad or just sad in general. Yeah you can wear a smile but that feels like lying so you become even unhappier than you were. It may take a few days to become happy again or only a matter of minutes. Mood swings you basically jump between emotions so they change quickly and your mood changes with your emotions or feelings, so they change quickly too. Trying to change your mood on purpose doesn't always work. They take time and sometimes the time you need doesn't come when you want it to. Once you become happy you stay that way for a while and then become sad again. (That is what tends to happen to me, a lot.) Try and stay happy or face the situation. Embrace the things that make you sad so you become happy. I'll try that if you do too.

A big thank you once again to my amazing friend who wrote my blog for the past two days.

Old school?

Hey it's her friend writing today.
How much do you like your music? Well, I like mine a lot! Today, I went to the music store at the shopping centre and bought and an album that I've been wanting to buy for a while. Everytime I checked for it, it was never there or at any other music store I went to but this time, I was in luck. Now, some people would say this is a waste of money because in these days, you could just download music for free but I  like having the real thing.
What do you think? Is buying the actual music CD old school or not and which do you prefer?

No plan

Have you gone into something big or small without a plan of what you're actually going to once your at your destination or in that something? On rare occasions, this is my life. Today after school, I didn't feel like going home so out of the blue I went over to the mall so don't worry, this was just a small thing. I went in there by myself and just walked around completely clueless and thoughtless. It wasn't too bad actually, kinda relaxing but again, this was just a small thing. College courses

In college you pick every single class, whereas in high school you only pick some. Tonight the college I'm going to next year held a course selections night. So I went and picked my classes for next year. I thought it would be hard but all I did was put some numbers on the page, write a total of about 10 words and talked a bit, easy as! You don't normally ask a lot of questions, but your parents do. My parents love asking questions... They double check stuff, talk to you saying 'That sounds good' or 'Do you like the sound of that' or 'What do you think? Want to give that ago, it sounds fun?'. You must love your parents?
Picking what you want to do is great, just don't pick all the fun subjects, you do need to work hard and keep learning as well.

The art store

How much do love art? That includes anything from scribbling on a page to a sculpture or a framed painting on a wall. You have start somewhere - scribbling on a page us a good start. But if want to take up art or need some crafty materials you need a craft shop. I don't go the art shop to buy things but to look. I see the things on the shelves that are used to make artworks and how many ideas people come up with in the shop. They probably have an idea but seeing that one thing a whole new idea might pop into their head; or your head.
Are you creative or a person that really likes art, if so go walk around an art shop. They have cool things and if you have the creativity and imagination you could create wonderful artworks. (Just don't fill your school books with small drawings.)

Blogging

Just something new, I'm going to write a blog post about blogging. Maybe you could give one a go?
A blog is sort of like an online journal. You write about something you like or are interested in or like me, write about your day on either what you felt or did. You can go though and read each day like flipping backwards through a book.
At the end of each day you can just sit down and for a short while think something up and write about it. It is up for the world to see so you don't post really personal things but it is up to you what you write or blog about. I do my day to day life because I get to relive my day and think everything over. I keep a journal too but this is just a reflection of one part of my day.
Blogging in a way is fun but it is also hard. After a while it becomes a tad hard to think up something. My goal is to not repeat a post, so far I'm doing well. Today would be one of those days where I can't really think of something so I make one up. The fun thing about blogging though is seeing how worldwide it gets and where you get your inspiration from.
It's fun, hard and pretty fun. You should give it a go.

Tress talk and grass dances

Do you believe tree can talk or that grass can dance? I do. The grass sways backwards and forwards dancing in the breeze and as for the trees; that gushing sound you hear they are whispering to one another. You may think I'm weird and really childish but who isn't? We all believe in different things and with an imagination anything and everything is possible. It's like being when you were younger and you believed in fairies and magical creatures - which I still do.
I go on walks for myself and to walk my dog. Today I chose my favourite walk. There is always a breeze, the trees talk and the grass dances. The fields look peaceful and everyone you pass smiles at you - I think because they look at my dog. I walk to think but I end up walking in another world. Shows what can happen when you have an imagination, wear a smile, love the things around you and keep an open mind.

Mind your own business

Are you a sticky beck? Somebody who likes to know what others are doing or just somebody who can't mind their own business? Someones business is their own, their personal life especially. What a person does is up to them, it is not then your business to go sticking your head in to find out what they do. If the person wanted you to know then they would tell people and make it public. But personal means personal and none of "your" business. Some people don't know the difference between public and personal in my opinion. A persons business is their own, if they want you to know they will tell you and if they don't they won't.
Don't go sticking your head in, it's not your business, never has been, so back off. It isn't that hard.

Laughing on a Friday night

Hey guys. Sorry it's up late but I did not forget but I had a late-ish night and was pretty tired so I fell asleep.

How often do you cry, how often do you laugh and how often laugh so much you cry? Last night I laughed so hard for a good hour I could do nothing but cry-laugh. I was having a blast. I went to a performance that my friend was in and it was great! The plays were the best I'd ever seen. Professional play? No, which makes it even funnier. Lines are forgotten, props are forgotten and it's about having fun every moment you're doing it.
Friday nights are made for having fun so go out and do something you like doing! It's better than being stuck at home and going out means you can go with friends or even have a great laugh, just like my whole family did.
