What does Easter mean to you? Is it spending time with family and friends or just getting chocolate? Easter is the day Jesus was resurrected. People can treat Easter and believe its all about chocolate, but it's about family and the resurrection of Jesus.
The best part of Easter is probably going on an Easter egg hunt! Not the part where your parents say "stay" while they hide the eggs, but finding them and eating them!
Tip for the rest of your Easter break: don't eat all the chocolate in one day. You. Will. Be. Sick!

Training
Training for a school cross country, for a sport or even just trying to get fit can be tiring. If you don't do a lot of exercise, you can overdo it. Even if you are used to doing a lot of exercise you can still push yourself too hard. Don't try to do it all at once. Getting fit and doing lots of exercise takes time. Yeah, that means doing it in small amounts, working up to your goal.
Just keep in mind. it takes time.

Sleeping in
What are long weekends for? There is only one answer to that, sleeping in, and sleeping in late. The Easter long weekend is for sleeping in. Good Friday means no work, for most companies anyway. It's Friday and there's no work Saturday so it is perfect for sleeping in or staying out late or maybe even both. If you are working on the Saturday, don't stay out late. What to do after you've slept in? Stay in bed or go lie on the couch and watch television.

Brings out the beauty
Rain brings out the beauty in plants. It makes people happy and brings a cleaner environment. After it's rained the air smells different, it smells clean and fresh. It makes plants look green, the ground soggy and turns dirt to mud. Rain is prettiest for me it's poring down. It's loud and the sky looks amazing. On a colourful background it's a hazy gray colour because the rain is so heavy.
It makes the world cleaner.
It makes the world cleaner.
Hanging with friends
At school you're always hanging friends, but what do you do when you're not at school? Do you go and hang out with friends after school or only at school? It's understandable that some friends don't live close by but if they do, do you go to the park or the mall to hang out? I go to the park with my dog and meet my friends with their dogs. The dogs play with each other while we talk. It seems like there is always something to say, even when you've run out of ideas. Talking and hanging out with friends, outside of school is also a good time to talk about more private things that you don't want others at school hearing. Talking out your problems with them is another great thing about hanging with friends.
You don't just have weekends to hang out, you have time after school as well.

Go with your gut
You think with your head or feel it in your gut. When you don't know whether you should do something, do you go with your head or your gut? Or should I say trust your head or your gut? I say trust your gut 90% of the time because your head isn't always right. If you think both are wrong or both are right, just pick one or ask a friend. Friends usually pick the right one, and if you don't trust them, pick the one they didn't choose.

Happiness
Music and people are the main things that make people happy. There may be other things that make people but those two stand out for me. Music can take you into another world, take things off your mind or maybe just make you happier? I wont know because I'm not you, but it does all three for me.
Ever been extremely happy for a reason that you don't know or do know? It's a great feeling. You make those around you happy and yourself feel happier inside.
Tip: if you're not happy put a smile on, those around you will smile back and you will be happier.

Dreaming big...
An average house
is probably about 20 meters long and has only one story, some may have two.
Have you ever heard of government house? Well government house is about 150 meters
long and has three stories! It also has a swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, and
its own private section of the lake and plenty of gardens. How would you like
to have a house that big? It would be nice, but how much of it would you
actually use? Not much. You can dream but dreams don’t always come true. You
might actually have a house that big one, but most people can only dream of
having a house that big. If you are thinking of having a house that big, it’s a
fair few million dollars. So, start saving.

Doing things for others
Generousity is when someone is being generous to another person. Helping them out or just doing something for them out the kindness of your heart. Small things like smiling or saying 'hi' can make someone else's day. What ever you do for someone else, no matter how big or small will make their day and they will also be a happier person (even if they don't seem to be happier).
Go out and make someone's day.

The day in between
Wake up to a rainy, miserable school day. The school day finishes, turns into the weekend and everything is sunny. Somewhere in between it changed from boring school into the fun weekend. Friday has to be almost everyone's favourite day. Personally it's not my favourite, but I know a lot of people who wish the day would come faster.
What is your favourite day of the week?

Someone to talk to
Have you got a boyfriend, close friend, a best friend or just someone you can go to when you really need someone? I think it would be nice to. I'm a girl so I get advice from other girls. Don't get me wrong, their advice is helpful but sometimes you need a guy or boys advice. So what if they aren't very good at giving advice, they are good listeners. In my honest opinion guys are sometimes better listeners than girls are. You may disagree, but that's what I think.
If you do have someone to talk to, who will listen and try to help you. May it be a family member or may it be a friend, they will help you, because they care.

Overloaded
When there is a lot going on your, mind and brain overload. You try to focus on one thought but then there's another and another one and another one! You keep going between them and sooner or later your head hurts from thinking! I'm not sure about you guys but that's what happens to me and it's happening now. My head is just not in the right place.
What do you do to get your mind back on track?

Now what?
Assessment has finished and you no longer have assignments, what am I supposed to do?! I don't know about you guys but I have to be doing something all the time, I can't stand not doing anything. Not big things, but small things. Around the house jobs, practicing instruments or just fiddling with a pen, I just have to do something. What about you? Do you always have to do something or can you do nothing?

Time to yourself
Everyone needs time to themselves once in a while. Some to think and some to get away from everything going on around them.
So what do you do when you're keeping to yourself? Quiet things I guess. Like cleaning your room (it pleases parents), reading a book or just doing nothing, might just do the trick.
If you're thinking why do something quiet and not go out? Because sometimes thinking about things is better than going out to try and get rid of them. Yeah thinking isn't always the best way and going out is, but just think before you go out. Who knows, maybe it is the right way...but maybe, it's the wrong way.

Shooting time!
Running - well walk/run - through a maze shooting people left, right and center, is so much FUN! So what if you get shot back, there's something called payback. Now I know what you're thinking, guns, how can I shoot them back if they've shot me? Well they were lazer tag gun things, not real guns, if they were real you wouldn't be able to read this anymore because I'd be dead. Also takes your mind off a lot of things and allows you to have fun.
You should really try it sometime. Go out with a bunch of friends and shoot each other (with lazer guns not real ones) and have fun!

Finished and having fun
Assignment free and assessment is half over, phew. What's the best way to celebrate? Fireworks in the evening, shopping and hanging with friends from lunch until 9 o'clock at night, couldn't think of anything better. Some may party, some may do nothing, but I just do small things that set you free. I know I only said half of assessment is over, but that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun right? Once you finish everything and it becomes the end of the term, that's the time for partying and late nights.

It's good for you and feels great!
How many of you exercise? Walk, play sport, jog, go to the gym, these are all forms of exercise. My favourite is walking. As boring as it sounds it really isn't, it's the opposite. It can be relaxing, fun and it's a great way to clear your mind. It's also a really easy way to exercise and stay fit. The more often you walk, the longer you'll be able to walk because you'll get fitter and not run out of breath as quickly.
I give you the challenge of going for a short walk, everyday for two weeks.
Who knows, someday you might be running instead of walking...

Responsibilities
What kind of responsibilities do you have?
Having pets come with responsibilities, do chores and school work also have responsibilities. Pets though, take the most. Cats are fairly easy, dogs on the other hand are harder. You have training, walking, feeding, playing with them and cleaning up after them - which is the worst part. My main responsibility for owning a dog is the training. Taking it to class and then training it at home. I take up the other responsibilities around the house and also at school. Balancing between pets and school means using time productively, which we teenages, don't do very well at all.

You always have someone
Everyone has friends. When your friends are away, or home sick, you've got other friends to hang with. But when you've got a very large group of friends and they're all away, then you go in search to find others. I've got tons of friends so finding them aren't a problem, having a large school is the problem.
Changing friend groups from time to time is good. Gives variety, more choice and lots of people you can call friends! Changing groups also makes things fun and interesting as they always have new things to talk about.

Why girls and not boys?
All girls get periods, some do and some don't get cramps, but the ones who don't, I envy you. Having cramps for me and some friends is like being punched hard in the stomach. You take tablets for the cramps, then sit through the cramps for like 20 minutes before they kick in and work.
I know the reason why girls have periods and boys don't, but we girls should get a break and the boys can have the torture of periods with cramps for a while. Do you agree girls, it's the boys turn.

Would you?
Public holiday, what's the one thing you want to do? Yeah, sleep in. Well sleeping was not on my list because I got woken up at 5 in the morning, but what I woke up for made up for it. Hot air balloons flying up into the sunrise, magical, something I'm going to do every year! Yeah that means getting up at 5 every Canberra day, but totally worth it. I recommend it to all you guys in Canberra. Get up at 5 (or later but before 5:30), head do to the front of Old Parliament House and watch the balloons. :)

Same or not?
Would you say that Sunday is the same as Saturday? I'll list the similarities; sleep in, have late breakfast, shopping or hanging with friends, assignments or homework, movies, family night. The only thing they don't have in common is you can't stay up late. You could if you want but there is school on Monday and people are generally tired on a Monday morning so you're not doing doing anyone any favors staying up late on a Sunday night. Tell me if I'm wrong, some people it may not be like that, but to me it is. All the time, nearly every weekend.
Well I've got a movie night to join and I bet you guys have your own things to do with your Sunday night. Have fun with whatever you choose to do.

Lazy day
What do you do with your Saturday? Do you sleep in or wake up early, or do you skip breakfast and have lunch instead? Either way it is still lazy. Do you go shopping or stay around the house? Have you got chores, homework or assignments that need to be finalized? Well Saturday is part of the weekend and that's a great time to put some finishing touches on.
So that's probably all you do in the day, what about the night? Movies, TV, games, spending time with family, yep that is my Saturday night.
So I ask you guys, what do you do with your Saturdays?

What is there to do friday night?
Friday finishes the school week and starts the weekend. So what to do on a friday night? Well for starts you can go shopping, out to dinner or stay up late. Tomorrow is saturday after all so you can sleep in. Plus, to make this weekend even better and more of an excuse to stay up on sunday night, monday is a public holiday! No school! Well that's a yay and a nay for me. I like school, but I really don't want to hand in assignments, so I'll say this is more of a yay. I don't know about you guys though...do you like school? Or assignments?

Behind and annoyed
Assignments take time. The time you don't have. I'm behind with mine and I'm annoyed. The time I need isn't enough for what I need to do. I have to finish 2 assignments and start and finish one. When are they due? All next week. What am I going to do? I don't know, start them right now.
Don't get behind in your work. It catches up and you have less time to do them. Take my advice: start your assignments as soon as you get get them and finish them as soon as possible!

College. Why so hard?
Collage. What do I want to do? Where do I want to go? What do I want to study? I have no idea what I want to do, or where I want to go, or what I can choose to study. The choices for collage are hard.If you have a small idea of what you want to do, choosing may be easier. But me, I don't have the slightest clue. Well art and little kids. I like them, but I don't know.
Choosing is hard and collage is too. I mean there are like 5 different collages to choose from. All the open nights are like in the same week. That's a lot of traveling and listening....and lots to choose from... Why is this so hard?!

Boy drama
I don't know about you guys, but I have a crush and people I like. Not like like, more like...liking them as a friend. I f that made sense? There may, there may not be a difference but liking somebody and having a crush are two completely different things. I don't know the difference, do you?
So do boys cause problems or dramas? I know they cause feelings, happiness, sadness, fights. So yeah, I'd say they cause both problems and dramas.
If you are a guys and reading this, you probably think girls are the same. I don't blame you.
So in the end mostly all people have boy or girl problems or dramas. What teenager doesn't?

Gotta love school...
Every students least favourite time of the school term. The middle of term is when students get assignments. How many classes do you guys have? 6-9 classes, maybe? You get 1 or maybe 2 assignments per class. Some classes don't hand them out, which are the classes people love, but you end up with what, 4-6 assignments. That is way too many. How many weeks do you get to finish all of them, 3 at most maybe?
Some are helpful, you learn stuff, others just waste your time.
How many assignments do you have? How long do you have to do them? Which one is your favourite and why? Teenagers hate them, but they are helpful.

Ever think before you act?
Don't get me wrong or miss understand me, I love hanging out with my friends (both boys and girls) but when they don't think things through...things can go wrong.
Hanging out with friends on a Sunday afternoon is the best. Swimming on a day that wasn't so warm was a smart idea. Playing pool without rules rocks and playing darts, that is when some people didn't think things through. Smart friends? No. I have crazy, awesome friends. So yeah, we're not the best when it comes to 'smart' while having fun. Darts are supposed to be thrown at a dartboard not a coke can or an apple...on somebody's head. We did have a helmet and lots of cushions for safety (some intelligence there) but still not a smart idea.
If you're wondering, nobody got hurt. Biggest relief of my day.
What do you think, smart idea or stupid idea?

Shopping or Homework?
Most girls spend their weekends at the mall. To avoid homework or parents maybe? That's not me. I go to the mall the purpose of going to get things I need. As always you get more than you intended, but that's part of shopping right? And you can never go shopping alone. You must have a friend, otherwise it gets lonely and boring. I don't know what boys do when they go to the mall but girls have no idea where they're going. Okay, we have some idea, but we walk in the wrong direction. What do boys do when they go to the mall???
Before I forget. Don't choose homework over shopping with friends. As fun as it is to shop with friends...your homework will be right where you left it, waiting, for you when you get back.
What would you choose to do with your weekend: go shopping with friends or do homework?
